Weigh In Weeks 4 and 5 Ups and Downs

First, apologies... I chickened out last week. I couldn't, or rather wouldn't write my blog because I was mad at myself and my lack of progress last week. It was a combination of unhealthy eating and lack of exercise. I only lost 1/2 of a pound. Part of me was frustrated to the point of apathy. I just didnt care. I felt like giving up. I didnt. I made sure to exercise when I got the motivation... or when I could force myself too. I felt good afterward.  I felt strong. I felt ready to take on the world... or at least the next day. I beat myself up mentally all week... which of course didnt help.

When I weighed myself in this morning, I was convinced that I was going to be on the plus side of the scale. I was shocked, albeit thrilled, when the scale showed me the beautiful... beautiful number! 249!!!! Not only had I FINALLY lost 20 lbs, but I was also below 250. (NEVER TO BE SEEN AGAIN!!!!!) I wanted to jump up and down and scream from the rooftops. I'm doing it! I'm doing it right!

Im so excited to be setting a positive example for not only my children, but my friends and family.

Hopefully I'll have big numbers next week as well.

  1. dude, I am so proud of you and I have to comment on your last 3 blogs...first I should say that I too have joined in on the weight loss journey...I started weight watchers last week and went down five pounds!! YAY! I worked out 3 times last week, again kinda impossible to do with this child and school...But every little bit helps. Good old Billy Blanks...I used to have his videos I need to find them again but back in the day I remember not even being able to get past the instructional video. I have different tools this time around, The treadmill, I go to the gym with Kyle when we can coordinate it, My step..just throw on the playlist on my droid which consists of a lot of Lady GAGA and such the wii fit (I do think it might be time to invest in a new "game" for the wii any suggestions?) and of course my gurl Carmen Electra Striptease arobics baby..you should invest in those they are a lot of fun. I have to say that you really motivated me to get crackin. My mom and I have friendly wager going, by the first week in April, we put in a dollar a pound and whoever loses the most gets to spend it all on clothes! Anyway I am feeling that this year is the year of change! Keep up the good work! I am super proud.
